In this simple performance Tsuchimoto divided the audience into men and women – turning one side into subjects and the other into objects. The performance plays with gender stereotypes, and the male gaze. At the same time it criticizes the exotification of Japanese girls in media. Through the “super cute pose”, roles are turned, altering between masculine and feminine, power and submission...
